Buy together or keep renting?

Doesn't it makes sense to try and build equity even if it means having to buy and live together with a few friends?

Asking since I built this calculator but wondering if this changes people perspective at all. 🤷🏽‍♀️ The calculator is on Joynt's site and shows what someone's current rent could potentially buy them if they went in with some friends. You can even put everyone's rent in and divide ownership buy their amounts.
