The Struggle Is Real

Just joined the thread, as it’s as specific as it can be. Here’s the gist - 39 yo, married 9 years, two kids (5yo-daughter, 2yo-son). My struggles might seem minuscule compared to others but still might require support. I am the breadwinner of the family, work 50+ hours a week to support everything a 4 person family needs in a reputable school district. I am the first to rise at 4:30am to have my self care workout hours, come home to load up lunchboxes, get kids ready and load up for school. It’s the M-F routine, no big deal. Once the kids are off, I’m working from school start to school end, and then after the kids go to bed, doing additional work to catch up.

I work hard, provide for the family, there… but my wife makes it sound like it’s not enough. I feel like she resents me, when I work from home - she sits on the couch and complains about my son who isn’t at school yet and how I should help more. Which had me leave my desk and make up the hours late at night to pickup slack.

My kids are my world, my wife was my life and I’m losing her. I don’t think we’re lost, our kids are challenging which is leading to the love lost.

Anyone feel the same? Thoughts?
