My daughter was placed in a 5th/6th combo class, and she’s devastated.

My daughter was placed in a combo class, she’s a sixth grader. She’s been crying on and off all day. I’m trying to comfort her, but what are you experiences with combo classes? She thinks she’s not smart enough, but from what I have read, it’s based on excess or overflow. Not sure how to feel about this .
