false positive?
Hi everyone! I got a new PC, formatted it, and installed the new Windows 11 24h2. I did all the updates and installed the 30-day trial version of ESET NOD32 Antivirus 18.2.17.0. I don't like the other versions because they're too invasive for my tastes. However, since installing it, I've been getting a Trojan horse warning about every 30 minutes or so, and I actually see a blue flash on the screen right before the warning.
This is the warning:
24/08/2025 22:02:28;
AMSI Scanner;
FILE; C:WINDOWS\system32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\Modules\Microsoft.PowerShell.Management\Microsoft.PowerShell.Management.psd1;GenScript.WWJ Trojan horse;blocked;
xxxxxxxxxxxxx;;4705385E63A5FC06243CE42308F8B0C5E5E25BFC;;;
Now, I deleted the .psd1 file and created a new one according to the GitHub instructions, but the Trojan warning continues to appear at regular intervals every 30 minutes.
I've used other 3 antivirus and antispyware scanners, malwarebyte, f-secure, trendmicro, but none have found anything, so could it be a false alarm? Yet this very rapid blue screen appears every 30 minutes.
So what can I do now?
Thanks for your help.
