Siding with the Devil

No matter how vocal I become in my disappointment with the church, I will never be as antimormon as disgraced Operation Underground Railroad founder Tim Ballard. I just saw this excommunicated rapist's post accusing the church of siding with the devil. I don't think the church does. Because there is no devil. No. I believe that the Church's sins belong wholly the the material reality and are finite. Ballard accuses the church of aligning with the prince of darkness.

But my wife's TBM parents will con​tinge to think Ballard is a hero and that their daughter and me I are terrible people. Because they can't even prejudice honestly. They will say that their faith is the most important thing to them. It's not. They hate us because we're not MAGA. We're not really even very liberal. But we've been anti-Trump since the 1990s. And they hate us for maintaining values that they only pretended to have. They hate us because our politics holds up a mirror to theirs and shows them the rot. They don't hate us because we left the church. They only pretend that that's the problem. They hate us because we are a reminder that they never really cared as much about the gospel as they do about blind, partisan politics.
