Honeywell Home Thermostat Issue?

So it’s starting to change seasons and for the last week I have been simply keeping my windows open. Now, it’s been getting chilly and I had my heat on set to 68. It was 72 in my home and 50 degrees outside.

When I just got home, it was 77 in my house and heat mode was on.

Am I being silly? Any idea what happened?
