[Discussion] The 50 Greatest Rappers of All Time (And Their Best Song)

I know we’ve probably all had enough of reading lists about the 50 greatest rappers of all time. The peak-moment for this category was a couple years when The Brew Podcast posted up a list that had Joe Budden at the number three spot. It’s all been downhill from there.

So we’re going to do things a little differently here. We’re going to list our top 50 rappers (surprise, surprise), but we’re going to try and talk about them through the lens of their best song. We’re trying to do something different here, and by picking their best song, we’re also looking to talk about the record that best represents that rapper.

The list is below, and you can hit the link afterwards if you want to read about why the rappers are placed where they are, and their best song.

As always, we do this for the love of talking about hip hop, so discussion is more than welcomed. What’s your feedback? How much do you hate this list? Do you agree with any of the picks? Is there too much focus on ‘90s rappers? Would you include rappers like Rick Ross, Gucci Mane and Future on here? Let us know!
