Ramayana – Day 38: Sita’s Final Return — The Earth’s Embrace
After Lava and Kusha questioned Rama, the royal court of Ayodhya gathered to hear the final truth.
Sage Valmiki brought Sita to the assembly.
She stood calm. Dignified. Radiant.
This was the same woman who:
Left the palace without hesitation
Endured captivity in Lanka
Walked through fire to prove her purity
Raised her sons alone in the forest
Yet again, she was asked to prove herself publicly.
But this time… Sita chose differently.
She did not argue.
She did not defend.
She did not plead.
Instead, she prayed to Mother Earth:
“If I have been pure in thought and action…
If I have been loyal to Rama in heart and soul…
Then Mother Earth, receive me.”
The ground trembled.
The Earth opened.
And Sita returned to the womb of Bhumi Devi, her divine mother.
The court was stunned.
Rama was shattered.
For the second time, he lost Sita.
But this time… forever.
This moment is not defeat.
It is dignity.
Sita did not wait for validation.
She chose self-respect over endless justification.
And that is why her story is eternal.
