Open question

I got diagonised with MCTD/lupus and everything that goes with it a month ago... and I don't know anyone else with MCTD/lupus. Oh and on top of it I have heart problems. Now I have questions about having an autoimmune disease and getting vaccinations? My doctor said I could get a flu shot/COVID shot/etc... but was anyone here with MCTD told differently? Do you guys get vaccinated for flu/COVID? What's the side effects like for you compared to someone without MCTD? I would like to get vaccinated this year (I did a few years before) but I'm honestly scared and unsure of what will happen now.
