I have built a Chrome game extension. I hadn’t thought I would actually like it.
Hey everyone,
I have started as a small gaming coding experiment somehow spiraled into a full Chrome extension.
I haven’t really considered myself a "gamer" in years. I usually lose interest in things after five minutes. But while testing this, I found myself actually getting hooked. I’ve been opening it up a few times a day just to try and beat my own high score during work breaks.
It’s called HyprNode: Mainframe Rescue.
It’s a pretty simple neon-style arcade game. You’re basically an operative jumping between nodes in a "mainframe" to rescue an AI named Nix.
I didn't build this to be the next big thing—I just wanted to see if I could make something that felt "snappy" inside a browser tab. It saves your progress automatically, so it’s been my go-to "micro-break" tool when I need to clear my head for 60 seconds.
If you’re looking for a quick distraction that doesn't require a massive download or setup, I’d love for you to try it out.
Would love to hear any honest feedback.
