Its ork fluff, if you dont loot, yoyr missing out, just bash within the correct dimensions its fine

I feel you on that! All my Ork vehicles are kitbashed, and it was fun but also very time consuming.

my cardboard stompa was made in three days and is taking FOREVER to paint.

>Funny enough the bash took more than twice as long as the paintjob

That's how it always seems for me. The painting has a definite plan, but the kitbash has so many moments of bits searching and dry fitting.

Thank you! Funny enough the bash took more than twice as long as the paintjob

Its very very veeery close, its alittle highter, a little wider, and about 0,3cm shorter, but its crazy close too official size

Well it looks great! How accurate are the measurements to the real kit? It looks about right!

Its a trash land raider, straight sprue sticks, ABS plastic, nuts and bolts, a lot of bits, and glue

Only what I’ve heard from GW employees and long-time collectors (guys going back to the 80s and 90s). [Notice it says “no longer available” and not “out of stock.”](https://www.forgeworld.co.uk/en-US/Ork-Kill-Bursta-Kill-Blasta-Tank) they use this language on both GW main website and FW when they’re permanently out of models. FW is being decimated. Necrons are down from 13 to 4 models, only 2 of which are stocked. Orks lost some GREAT stuff last week or two. RIP.
Edit: here you can see loud and clear the models that are permanently gone (not including even older models whose records are permanently scrubbed).

Do you have a source about the mound being broken? If that is truly the case I wouldn’t feel the least bit bad about seeking... alternative... sources.

They sold out. They sold out last week. The mold is broken. We no longer have a choice of whether or not to buy it. ForgeWorld is selling out of *everything*.

This looks awesome! I want to make my own kill tank but I have no interest in paying 200 dollars for a resin kit so I am VERY interested to know what you used to make this beautiful hunk of rolling scrap. Looks like lots of sprues and plasticard ?

I bought one over summer, so I feel so ridiculously lucky. If history is any teacher, I can’t think of any FW models that received second edition molds, but some models in rare cases become standard GW models. I think some Land Raider models and Eldar Wave Serpent are among those that made it to plastic. Fingers crossed!

Oh wow, lol. Lets hope they fix that or come out with a plastic kit, because the Kill Tank is pretty good in 9th.

Looks like he’s back! I’ve spent years hunting retired ForgeWorld models. Haven’t seen them return before, but I’m glad! I can’t figure it out.

Oh shit is that what also happened with the Warboss on Warbike? I asked on this sub a few days ago and was told they were just changing production codes.

Can’t buy the resin. Mold broke and they sold out last week.

Oh yes it is, modelled after the official size

Looks like it could be an official kit! Good work!

I want to get 3 of these guys eventually, and want them to be tournament legal, but dont want to buy $500 in resin. Would you say this is pretty close to the official size?

I can’t wait to see it! I love that part of the bash most.

Im making a new gun with stuff from imperial knights and other things for it =)

Hey man its no problem, I mostly wanna give you hope, with the reduction in FW data sheets hopefully we won't see as much getting squatted without reason.

Thanks for your response. I’m pretty confused about what’s going. I called FW in the US and they were noncommittal with their response (maybe it’ll be back..? Maybe not..?).

Over the course of a few years I collected retired Tyranids terrain on eBay. I’ve scoured for retired Xenos models, including some of the retired necrons tomb stalkers or pylons, retired Orks weapons and Chinork, and others. Talking with long-time collectors and even GW store managers, I learned that often the molds break and that’s that. I find it to be particularly true with Xenos armies. We’re still “no longer available” on our store.

I agree with your sentiments about the kit bash but just checking you can buy the kill tank on forge world, at least on on the UK and EU stores.

This stems from awful communication on gw and forge world where they are downright putting wrong information on their website. They did the same with the terrax assult drill at the start of the month and everyone was saying the mold had broken but that to is available to order on the UK and EU stores. See this link for more details:

Looking at it if I'm totally honest it looks like it might be a shipping/ Brexit issue as looking at various different countries the big models often are listed as no longer available in USA but are available in the UK or EU stores.

Molds have broken in the past and this did cause loads of models to get squatted. I remember lots of tau models being l

This is amazing. As I’ve noted to some other comments, the actual tank can’t be bought anymore because FW is completely sold out and not restocking. Your bash looks every bit as good! Epic work. I think your gun cluster might actually look better...

Its a semi wet, very controlled edgebrushing with Vallejo Model Air Chrome. Best superstrong metalic colour there is in my opinion =)

What silver did you use to dry brusg the edges? Lookz great ya git

Kill Tank bash finised! C&C Most welcome
