Is there any "safe" player to buy a jersey of?

I'm a relatively new Pacers fan, I pretty much swap fandoms when I move to a city with an NBA team (was a Bulls fan growing up, followed the Hornets for a couple of years) and the past 2 years I've been following the Pacers.

Now, I have a $150 gift card for NBAshop.com because of the Caesars sportsbook (place 100 in NBA wagers to earn a 150 giftcard) and I was fully intending to buy a Sabonis jersey, and with today's news there's no chance of that happening. My next pick would be Turner but he's no lock either, and I'd even feel sketchy getting a Duarte jersey.

What's the move now? Go classic and get a Reggie Miller jersey? Just put my own name on the back of it? Just buy generic merch?
