Tracking powder sprayed around my small studio apartment - was this safe?
The exterminator just stopped by. He sprayed what he called a "tracking powder" around my studio apartment. He then explained that it was a poison. I asked if it was safe for humans he said it was and then wiped it with his hands and proceeded to touch various surfaces in my apartment. When he left, I googled tracking powder and saw that it is a rodenticide that is toxic to humans. Specifically, there is an advisory that humans should not inhale, ingest, or absorb the tracking powder. They also state that it should not be used in drafty areas (I live in a small studio apartment with an AC unit that blows air everywhere) and should not be used around food surfaces (he sprayed it around my oven/in my kitchen). The tracking powder also got on my clothing when he sprayed it in my closet.
How big of a deal is this? What can I do to keep myself safe/clean it up?
