Does the stealth upgrade help with the miserable mission start situation?

Discussion

*Edit* No known fix for this issue as far as I can tell at the moment. Haven't been able to find any information. Feel free to pass me a message if the situation changes and I will update this post.

So far my experience with the game has been mostly positive, except for a few minor issues that we can neglect for now.

There is however one massive issue that needs to be discussed and is why I am asking the topic question. The start of any mission is just plain stupid. You have zero control over it as far as I can see at the moment, unit positions are random, and enemies start too close making half the weapons and playstyles unviable. So does a stealth approach give more options?

I am utterly fed up with my mission starting with the sniper in front, within optimal range of an enemy shotgun mech, my shotgun being stuck behind said sniper, heavy weapons and assault. The first few turns when we are SUPPOSED to be attacking is running around in a panic, because we are on the DEFENCE. How does that make sense?!I get it if a patrol catches you, I get it if there are terrain constraints, but at the moment my biggest enemy is the map boarder and I LOATHE it.

If stealth mode doesn't help, has anyone found a workaround to this problem?I tried changing the mech lineup, swapping pilots, the pilot and mech lineup. I have tried different approaches on the world map, but so far nothing helps, and I am about to quit the game in frustration.
