What should I look for before purchasing clothing from Bangladesh?

Not looking to start a war, actually just trying to be intentional about my buys. Bangladesh is a huge producer of clothing and it has a pretty huge range from very good to awful. A lot of the stuff that comes from there is very nice but as much stuff also falls apart after 2 washes. I read about checking for certifications like GOTS and OEKO-TEX, all of which have slightly different meanings apparently. Saw someone mention using Alibaba to find the actual manufacturer and guess some little brands do the same before buying inventory. Would this work for one transaction or do MOQ’s always mean Yolo? Any brands who are really honest about their Bangladeshi production and not just slapping on a word like “ethical”?
