Best way to change inode size of system volume
I have replaced all 8 of the disks in my static system volume that has a 16K inode size with 12TB disks to increase my capacity. However, when I go to expand the volume to 65.34TB I am unable because I am over the maximum volume size of 63.99TB. Turns out that the inode size I set way back when makes this impossible.
No big deal, I will need to delete the volume and reformat it with a 32K inode size. However, this is my system volume. My NAS has a small 2TB disk in a 2.5” drive bay I could use as the system volume. Is there a way to transfer the system data to that drive or do I need to redo my entire system configuration?
