What is the most useful object in the game?

What single item do you consider the most influential in the entire game?

The hook which your entire start of the game depends on?

The bow which makes it possible to survive and thrive against the dangerous creatures?

The engines which made us no longer dependent on the wind?

Probably no correct answer here, I just want to see some perspectives.

Personally I LOVE the engine controls because it saves so much time once you have your full size 6 engine raft and thankfully it doesn't run on fuel or batteries.
