Read Me Like A Book

NSFWSpoilerReflection

We never know the power of the pen, until we read the words of others who wield one too.

We find ourselves and our stories in the sentences of other authors. We find the words we desperately seek for comfort, safety, reciprocation, clarity… love..

We sit there reading, sometimes writing when the mood takes, and we think of somebody.

Somebody special. Somebody whose memory lingers long past their last appearance in person. Somebody you simply can’t shake, no matter how much you try.

And oh if you could only summon them to you with your words, your writing.

Oh if you could feel the heat of their body in front of yours.

The hitch of their breath. The breathless “Hey you” greeting they whisper. Faces seconds apart. That sensation in your stomach, the wonder and anxiety of what comes next.

When it’s been so long since you were both face to face. And their scent is so intoxicating it overwhelms your senses. Flooding your body with adrenaline.

Oh how you want their words to pull you in. Hold arms tightly round your body so you can feel a sense of calm and relaxation as it washes over you.

Flushed cheeks, embarrassment, happiness, the guilty stamp of pure joy across your cheeks for everyone to see. That hot blush and light back in your eyes.

Radiant light transmits from your bodies.

Sharing words such a long time hidden, baring our truths. Jokes, laughter, sadness, hearts filled up, full to over flowing. Dimple smiles and their voice is ringing in your ears.

If the words you write could summon that somebody back to your life, in full high definition with surround sound. In perfect technicolour.

If the words you write could be enough, if you could find the right way to say everything you never got the chance to say.

If those words could be heard, read, reciprocated. If those words could pull their body to yours.

Holding close, hearts align, pulses increase like a rising dubstep tempo, skin flushed with the blood rush. The shivers across your body at their close proximity.

If the words you write, if the words they write, could be enough..

Could you pull me to you? Pull me closer. Bodies holding tightly.

Will our words intertwine?

Will our bodies?

Am I allowed to pull you in?

All the way.
