Tips on taming my young PTS?

I just got my new pink tongue skink named Remy from a breeder this past Tuesday, and I have only handled him twice, for moving him to a container while I rearranged some of his things. He's very scared , hissing a lot and lunging at me when I was trying to move him. I was wondering what the best plan is for how to tame him down, since I've only ever had one other reptile named Kovu, he's a gargoyle gecko and hes suuuper tame ever since I got him. So I have no experience with taming them down. Thanks :)
