What are your thoughts on being child free? From the perspective of sri Lankans?

In my late 30s married and we are rethinking the whole concept of having kids.

Some say you will have someone to talk to at least in old age, but what is the guarantee?

Isn’t it better to not have if you are not keen? And also what are the pros and cons on not having kids? Thanks.
