“Possibility for Conversion”

Has anyone actually been converted from contractor to FTE in the last 2 years? I think all of tech has realized that people are so desperate they’ll work like FTEs for contractor pay (at least, I am) so the incentive to actually convert them has absolutely disappeared.

Has anyone been converted recently? If so, was that possibility part of your original contract?
