How to pass the created AD username (sAMAccountName) to a PowerShell provisioning script?

Is there an official way to access the current provisioning context?

For example:

• Person.userName
• Request.Person
• AdObject
• sAMAccountName
• any built-in PowerShell variables

Or is there a way to map a tenfold field to a PowerShell parameter when executing a provisioning step?
