What actually helped you get better at TypeScript?

I’ve been using TypeScript for a bit now, but honestly sometimes it feels like I’m just adding types until the errors go away, not really understanding what I’m doing.

For people using TS in real projects, what’s something that genuinely helped things click for you?
Could be a habit, a rule you follow, or even something you stopped doing.

Not looking for textbook answers, just real experiences.
