I keep avoiding my finances because looking at them makes me anxious

You're not the only one. Avoiding the number usually isn't about being "bad with money." It's that looking feels like a verdict. The fix is to make the first step so small it doesn't feel like one.

Try this order, and stop after each step if you need to:

  1. This week: open the app once, write down the balance, close it. No judging.
  2. Next: write down only the bills that repeat, with the amount and due date. Skip everything else for now.
  3. After that: add your pay dates. Now you can see which bills fall before which paycheck, and that alone removes most of the "moving money around" panic.
  4. Only after a couple of weeks of that, add categories like food or gas, and track them for a month before setting limits.

A half-finished budget isn't a failure. It's just the first draft. Paper works fine too if spreadsheets feel heavy. Be kind to yourself; you're already doing the hard part by looking at it.
