Just repaired a **PlayStation 1 (PS1) controller port** at Cellular Repair and Exchange in Tulsa.
If you have an original PlayStation where the controller isn’t being detected, buttons seem unresponsive, or you have to wiggle the controller plug to get it working, the problem may be inside the controller port assembly rather than the controller itself.
We still work on **retro game systems**, including older PlayStation consoles. These systems are getting harder to replace in good condition, so repairing the original hardware can be well worth it—especially if you grew up playing it and want to keep it going.
We troubleshoot controller ports, power issues, video problems, damaged connectors, board-level faults, and other unusual problems that many repair shops no longer work on.
If you have an old PS1, PS2, Nintendo, Atari, or another retro console that isn’t working, feel free to bring it by for a second opinion.
