LOCAL FMCG or MULTINATIONAL MANUFACTURING CORP - MAY 2025 CPA

Hi everyone, I’d like to ask for your insights. I have 2 job offers and until now hindi pa rin ako makapili. I’ll list their pros and cons, and I’d like to know if you were in my position, ano po pipiliin niyo considering salary, convenience, growth, exposure, etc.?

LOCAL FMCG PROS: ✓ P40K monthly package ✓ 10–15 mins away from home with shuttle ✓ Broader role (Accounting focus — reports and tax filing)

CONS: ✓ May chance ibalik Saturday work (half day) ✓ Sure na heavy workload ✓ 9.5 hours/day ✓ Need to report to Makati office 2–3x/week in the first 2 months (training) then remaining days sa office nila here, then 2–3x/month after ✓ Fully onsite

MULTINATIONAL MANUFACTURING CORP PROS: ✓ Global exposure (branches in different countries) ✓ Chance to move up as Plant Accountant ✓ Hybrid (1 WFH day)

CONS: ✓ Lower salary vs. Local FMCG (P35,500 monthly package) ✓ Narrower role at the start (mostly AP/vendor invoices), pero kapag na-master daw, may chance ma-move as Plant Accountant (higher salary) ✓ 20–25 mins travel to shuttle pick-up point, then +10 mins to company

MY FUTURE GOALS: ✓ Work in an international company as FP&A ✓ Earn 6 digits before age 30 (I’m 22) ✓ Get CMA certification
