Why Do Some People Succeed While Others Stay Stuck?
The Secret to Success: What Successful People Know That Most Never Learn
Most people talk about success as if it were a formula.
Work harder. Wake up earlier. Build better habits. Think bigger.
I do not dismiss any of that. But after more than 35 years of building companies, carrying responsibility, succeeding, acquiring, selling, losing, rebuilding, and watching people under pressure, I do not believe those things explain the real difference.
I have seen talented, disciplined people remain stuck for years.
I have seen less impressive people move past them.
I have seen people finally reach success, then become the weakest part of everything they built.
That is what made me stop asking, “How badly does someone want success?”
The more revealing question is:
What must a person become capable of carrying before success can safely arrive?
There is one part of the answer that is rarely discussed because it is not flattering, easy to package, or pleasant to admit.
Once you recognize it, you begin seeing it everywhere.
In business.
In relationships.
In people who rise.
In people who stall.
And especially in people who get exactly what they wanted, then discover they were not prepared for what it revealed.
I wrote the full piece on Substack because the answer needs more room than a Reddit post, and because I did not want to reduce it to another motivational slogan.
I am curious whether others here have noticed the same pattern. Maybe in you?
