What kind of emotional tension actually works for you in romance?
I’ve been thinking about how different romance books handle tension, and I’m curious what really works for people.
Is it slow-burn yearning where everything builds over time?
More intense dynamics where there’s push/pull or complicated attraction?
Or something quieter where the emotional connection just gradually deepens?
I feel like I’m way more drawn to the emotional and psychological side of relationships than specific tropes lately, so I’m interested in what kind of tension actually sticks with people.
