2011 ram death wobbles
I have a 2011 ram. I am the original owner. the truck has about 91k miles. been missing a few parts most of its life. I don't abuse my truck I just use it. I don't race around or off-road it. Mostly use for yard work and dirt biking. I did a cheap spacer level at about 15k with 35. took it on a offroad/ jeep trail to try and recover some dirt bikes at about 65k. It destroyed my front end. I ended up having a Carli commuter kit, ball joints, new bearings, redhead steering box. Since than the truck has never felt as tight. I feel like death wobbles come and go. Wobbles came back and replaced for a mopar steering. Than added a thuren torsion sway bar. Best upgrade. still never felt confidence. Added Carli control arms. did help make the front end feel a little better. I also installed an apex steering. Either I screwed up or the place that aligned it didn't correctly re tighten it. But yet again death wobbles. What's weird is with that steering set up even after death wobbles I feel like it's the tightest it ever felt. Told it to the shop and they said it was worn and needs to be replaced. I could try to warranty or get a new steering set up. Well I figured I trust the shop and they installed a synergy steering set up. Feels good. Just it's so frustrating cause the truck can feel great and one bump throws crazy. So my confidence with the truck is gone. I could get a new truck but rather not have a payment. Any one have some thing out of the normal that ended up causing death wobbles? Am I just going to have to replace the steering linkage every 5 years cause of the 35's.
