You are offered $500,000 to sit alone in a room for 7 days. No phone, no books, no entertainment, no human contact. When you walk out, the money is yours. But you must choose one thing that will be in the room with you for all 7 days.

Option 1: The Regret.

A screen on the wall you cannot turn off that plays every wrong decision you have ever made, in order, from the smallest to the ones that changed your life. Every person you hurt. Every opportunity you let go. Every moment you knew what you should have done and chose differently. When it finishes, it starts over from the beginning.

Option 2: The Silence.

A voice that speaks once every hour, on the hour. Each time, it reads out one thing someone in your life genuinely thinks about you but has never said to your face. Not compliments. The other kind. You never know whose thoughts they are. You just hear them, one per hour, for 7 days straight.

Option 3: The Mirror.

One wall is a floor to ceiling mirror you cannot avoid. It does not show how you look today. It shows you at the hardest moment of your life. The age you were, the exhaustion on your face, everything you were carrying at that time. It does not change. That is what you look at for 7 days.

Option 4: The Counter.

A digital counter on the wall showing the exact number of days you have left to live. No explanation of how it knows. You cannot turn it off or cover it. You do not know if the number is large or small until you walk in and see it for the first time. Every second that passes, you watch it drop.

Which option do you choose, and could you actually last the full 7 days?
