Patients’ toughest challenges need innovative answers.
Nuvation Bio has made impressive strides in advancing cancer care. What’s driving the company forward?
Dr. David Hung: Our goal is to do whatever we can to bring new treatments to patients with difficult-to-treat cancers, such as ROS1-positive non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). We’re always trying to identify and target what we consider to be the greatest unmet needs to transform patient outcomes. With bold ideas that push the boundaries of innovation, we’re working to advance therapies that address what have been some of the toughest challenges in cancer care to date. So many patients are in need of better options, and we see the sky as the limit for what’s possible in reaching our goals.

What is Nuvation Bio’s focus for the future?
Dr. David Hung: We’re laser-focused on developing and commercializing novel therapies for some of the most difficult-to-treat cancers, such as IDH1-mutant gliomas, where there remain serious patient needs. My vision is that for every program we bring forward, it will meaningfully improve the lives of patients we serve.

Pushing science further, because every possibility matters
Nuvation Bio is working on developing new treatment options for rare and difficult-to-treat cancers. Can you elaborate on the purpose behind this?
Dr. David Hung: Patients with difficult-to-treat cancers need solutions, and I’m willing to consider any and all possibilities to find them those solutions. We’re targeting critical cancer pathways with innovative approaches to address drug resistance and deliver more impactful therapies with precision. With the right programs, people, and support, which we have at Nuvation Bio, I think there’s no limit to how far we could go. We’re really excited about all the possibilities.
