*My 27-year-old niece Kavitha Iyer suffered an anoxic brain injury after a cardiac arrest — please help us continue her treatment and rehabilitation**

Negligence of Das Hospital, Chembur, Mumbai for Resetting for Ankle Fracture has lead her to 46th day in ICU in Kokilaben Hospital, Andheri, Mumbai.

Hi everyone,

I’m sharing this on behalf of my family and humbly asking for your support for my **27-year-old niece, Kavitha**.

Kavitha was admitted for what was supposed to be a routine **foot and ankle surgery** on 11 July 2026. Unfortunately, after anaesthesia, her heart rate suddenly dropped and she suffered a **cardiac arrest**. She had to be revived with CPR.

She was later shifted to **Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and Medical Research Institute**, where doctors diagnosed her with an **anoxic brain injury caused by the cardiac arrest**.

Kavitha is still not conscious. She is on & off the ventilator support, becoz of recurring dystonic jerks require sedation and close medical monitoring. She continues to need **neurological care and rehabilitation**.

What makes this even harder is knowing the life she was building before this happened. Kavitha completed her **B.Sc. in IT and MBA** and trained in **Data Analytics, Machine Learning, Linux, and Cyber & Hacking**. She dreamed of building her career and becoming independent. Today, our only wish is to see her open her eyes, recognise us, smile, and get another chance to pursue those dreams.

Our family has done everything we can to continue her treatment, but the ongoing medical and rehabilitation expenses are becoming difficult to manage.

**If you are able to help, any contribution can support Kavitha's continued care. If you cannot donate, simply sharing this post can help us reach someone who may be able to help.**
