Instead of
Instead of blaming people with mental illnesses, when they do something bad during psychotic episodes, blame the lack of healthcare.
Instead of blaming people for stealing goods, they need to survive, blame the lack of jobs blame the lack of Social Security.
Instead of blaming young parents for taking on more than they could chew on financially, blame the lack of free healthcare, blame the lack of subsidize childcare, blame the lack of support for young parents.
Instead of blaming Black people for being over police, blame the police who are over policing them, blame the systems in place that systematically kept Black people down
Instead of blaming drug addicts for seeking drugs blame again, the healthcare system that probably is failing them. So many addicts have underlining conditions and are essentially self-medicating.
I fully don’t understand how people don’t see it like this. I don’t understand. And I’m not saying all this as like a “no one‘s responsible for their actions” kind of thing I’m saying all this as a “I can’t tell if everyone is so inside the system that they can’t understand the system or if they fundamentally understand the system and choose to still be angry at the wrong people because scapegoating is easier” kind of thing.
