First time using USPS priority international and it is neither of those things.
I live in NJ, 30 miles from NEWARK international airport. I tried to send a letter containing important documents to Dublin, Ireland, using USPS priority mail International. I assumed USPS would send it from my local post office to the nearest East Coast service center, then to Newark Airport, and then it would, fingers crossed, actually leave the United States headed across the Atlantic to the Emerald Isle. And arrive within the 6-10 business days they advertise on the USPS website. Instead it is on a round the country tour. 8 days of no updates before it arrived in San Francisco, 2900 miles in the wrong direction. Another 3 days of In Transit and now it has reached Bell Gardens (Los Angeles). 11 days of yet-to-leave the United States. So… not priority, and not international. It’s not the delay that surprises me, it’s the route. Anyone else had a similar experience?
