The Golden Tail's Invitation
The sun was high over the pier, but all I could look at was the shimmer of gold beneath the planks. She surfaced with a playful tilt of her head, her pink hair cascading like silk over the weathered wood.
"The water is warmer than it looks, sailor," she whispered, her eyes gleaming with a mix of mischief and secrets. "Why stay on the dry, dusty land when the deep has so much more to show you?"
