I don’t have the next twelve months figured out. Not even close.

Some days I feel confident about where I'm headed. Other days I wake up wondering how it's all going to come together. I used to think that meant I was failing. Now I see it as part of the process.

For a long time, I believed progress required certainty. A clear plan. A guaranteed outcome. If I couldn't see the full picture, I assumed I was already behind. That way of thinking kept me frozen for years.

Recovery didn't come with a roadmap. Neither did rebuilding relationships with my family. There were hard conversations, long pauses, and moments where I questioned whether the effort was worth the risk. I stayed anyway. Progress showed up slowly and quietly.

What keeps me grounded now isn't certainty. It's belief.

If you are entering a new year feeling behind or unsure, hear this. You're not failing because you don't have it all figured out. Real progress doesn't announce itself. Most of the time it looks like showing up again when quitting would be easier.

Belief is enough to start. Consistency is what carries you through.
