We are opening an English centre in Bukit Bintang KL — here's what students actually ask me about
We've been speaking to hundreds of students over the past few months — international learners from the Middle East, Korea, China, and beyond — all coming to Malaysia to improve their English.
And the questions they ask are almost never about grammar or certificates.
They ask things like:
- Is KL safe for international students?
- Will I actually be forced to speak English or can I hide behind my phone?
- How long does it realistically take to go from basic to confident?
- What happens if I don't click with my class?
- Is Malaysia cheaper than the UK or Australia for English courses?
These are real questions. And honestly, they're the right ones.
We're building something in Bukit Bintang that tries to answer all of them — not just with a syllabus, but with the whole experience around it.
Not launching yet. But curious — what questions would you add to this list? What do students never think to ask but probably should?
