16F dealing with abusive father, don’t know what to do

Hi, I’m 16 and I need advice.

My father is very aggressive and has been violent before, but yesterday it got worse. My mom wasn’t home, and he started yelling at me and blaming me for something she did. I talked back, and he hit me on the back of my head and grabbed my neck so I couldn’t breathe properly. I still have marks.

I tried to leave, but he blocked the door and wouldn’t let me go. I was crying and begging him to let me leave. Eventually, my brother called him and I managed to get out.

My mom is now taking his side and says I’m disrespectful. He’s also lying and telling her I called him an alcoholic, which I didn’t, just to make me look worse.

this has happened before, but never this bad. My brother thinks it’s “normal,” so he doesn’t really help. Only his fiancée supports me, but she’s also scared.

I’m scared to contact the police or youth services because I’m afraid things might get worse for me.

I don’t know what to do. Any advice would really help.
