I did find a dentist to somewhat fix my tooth, but the bite is high and the tooth is already pretty low.

This is a continuation of tooth 18 I posted about a few weeks ago. One dentist just fixed the chipped tooth by redoing the filling on the tooth and extending it to also fix the chip.

That's great, but now that tooth touches first when I bite down and the tooth that was worked on is already low, the filling is not that deep, and from what I've been told the nerve comes up higher than normal.

I am going to go in to try and see what we can do, but I'm worried that the dentist will say they have sanded it down all they can and the only way to fix my bite is by sanding enamel of other healthy surrounding teeth which I absolutely don't want because it could easily create other issues and has in the past.

I know that the chipped part probably happened because there was stress on that area because during the time I had the chipped tooth my bite felt fine.

Is it always this hard to get the bite to fit correctly after getting work done? Why does the dentist always try to convince me it is fine when it isn't?
