Got my non-priority student visa after 30WD *ugly cries*
Broke down when I finally held my passport with visa in my hands today. Happy tears? Stress tears? I don't know anymore. Non-priority Aug 16 cos I honestly could not afford priority and thought there was time. Big and costly mistake. Classes start next week almost all F2F which I'll miss. I've asked my private landlord for rent amnesty for the two weeks I've not been in the flat - no response yet.
I followed UKVI instructions and didn't book my flight until I got my visa. It was a good decision because I sorted out tickets, quarantine, transport, mandatory testing all in one day. Thank you to everyone here - this thread has been my life support. Hang in there.
This advice might help. Message your school, profs and uni visa officers. Let them know your struggles. Bump up emails if you have to. They can help. They must help. My visa officer was the one who told me the results of my application yesterday — turns out UKVI can give them that info when pressed! Keep fighting the good fight! We'll get there somehow. Good luck! 🍀
