Help with beam deflectors

Hi there, I'm driving with my 2017 Passat Estate from UK to Germany via France soon. The RAC website suggests I have to use beam deflectors (or "adjust the beam manually"). I don't think pointing the beam downwards really solves the problem. So I got universal beam deflectors that supposedly work for 800+ cars. But the guidance for a Passat are really unclear. Does anyone have any guidance on how I can stick these on for my Passat please?
