What is happening with the app?

This app worked flawlessly a few months back? I had done all the routes except the longest but stopped my subscription as I wanted a break from focusing on steps. I’m back now, there’s a new trek so I decided to get back on subscription, and every time I try to walk a new trek I need to click a bunch of times to get steps logged, and after 4-5 clicks the app forces shut down or quit unexpectedly….? Really annoying and sad that a great app seems to be working poorer now than in its early days…
