Going in circles to reduce landing weight
Update on TAP56DT: after 120 minutes of circling , the aircraft is now heading back to Hamburg, reportedly due to an emergency.
Why? To burn fuel and reduce landing weight. Aircraft often can’t land safely at takeoff weight.
That's a lot of circles...
