Got ticketed for parking the zip car in a car-share only spot. Same one I took it from.

So this is a bit surreal. I took a zipcar for a few hours, picked it up from a street parking designated as "car share only", and returned it on time to the same spot. Seems pretty straight forward.

Fast forward three months and I get an email from zipcar saying "you got a parking ticket, we charged your card the amount plus $30 processing fee", you can see the ticket attached.

I open the ticket and see that the violation is for "Parking in a carshare only spot".
Zip car never contested the absurd ticket, they paid it already on my behalf (late enough so it also doubled...), and collected a nice fee on the way.

Anyone had this issue before?

Furthermore, when I checked online for the plate at the city's DOT website, it seems like that car is being ticketed at the same exact spot for the exact same "violation" every few days. Netting both zipcar and the city a pretty good income.

Seems sketchy AF.
