The real base is the twelve layers below the surface, but i keep the barracks on top with high iron walls since that’s where the threats currently come from. The were-rat climbed the walls anyway though.

Well it says he bit the wererat in the tooth but damaged its cheek… I’d sorta rather not know but apparently this instance of mouth-to-mouth did not transfer the curse so we’re good.

The target of the bite was the tooth. The tooth was hidden behind cheeks. Cheeks got inadvertently damaged in the process.
