Advice for stopping? 30 days since my last shot

Stopping Sublocade

Hey guys :)

I’m on an injection called Buvidal, an Australian version of Sublocade.

I’ve had 3 x 64mg shots of Buvidal, and figure this is the closest relevant sub-reddit I’ll be able to find (the Buvidal sub doesn’t get much action).

I’ve decided I’ll stop now. It’s been 30 days since my last shot and I’m feeling some things like extreme tiredness, some anxiety etc. Nothing too bad. I guess after reading all the horror stories of the sublingual tablet withdrawal, I was expecting a little more.

Do you all have any advice for this? Should I arrange for a week off work or so, or just go for it and live life without change?

Thanks in advance.

Hang in there friend. The anxiety is probably thinking about the taper. Keep a clear mind. And exercise daily it will help a lot. Good luck to you. You’re almost there 🤗

I’m on shot 3 of 3 100mg dose. About to taper myself. I’m ready for it. You are too

I had one 300 shot and five 100 shots total.

I just stopped getting the shots. Nothing happened. I never felt a thing and it’s been 4 months.

I have ADHD, Aspergers and Schizoeffective. I am dependent on my psych medications which keep me healthy and productive as possible. I note that for my severe ADHD, it’s critical I keep myself on the Vyvanse stimulant medication if I want to be sober.

But I don’t need any more subs or sublocade or any more of that.

Sublocade is a WONDERFUL medication IF you are set on staying clean. You don’t get withdrawal from stepping off of it because the prior shots you got stay in your body for many months and slowly work their way out

I will note that I was only mildly into opioids and only had used Kratom to self medicate ADHD before I got proper medication. So my opioid disorder was far less severe than some people. But the lesson is, sublocade is designed to be easy to come off of.
