I played with a guy for an entire match who thought he was killing operators. We went to the top of the building in the city and he sat up there and sniped every bot he saw. He’d get so excited when the armored truck brought more in. I tried to correct him early on but he wouldn’t listen, so I just started feeding into it. I’d ping the bots and give him details on their movement and let him shoot them. It was good fun even though I got nothing accomplished other than some lighthearted fun, which I guess is the entire point.

Like he was calling bots operators, mistakenly understanding what they’re called.. or he actually thought they were players?

He legit thought they were players. I pinged a few contracts after 5-6 minutes of sniping and he refused to leave the building because he was convinced he was shooting real people. Not sure what level he was, but he had a good time killing bots and burning through two munitions boxes.

Earlier this evening some rando teammate sincerely yelling "Friendly....Wanna team up?!?" to a fucking bot.

I had an idea though, that the game could drop in teams of Rangers and Kortac that hunt AQ and you can recruit them somehow

They have them in defender buy out, should be able to get them in DMZ would be fun

I solo'd a 3 person team while my rando rookies were making callouts & pings for the T2 bots in an entirely different area and they got really excited when they beat them. It would have been frustrating if I'd lost, but it was kinda cute because they got to feel like they were helping and everyone walked away some lightly used 3-plates.

I just enjoy it, those early days were great. Now 200+ hours in I've seen and heard things no man should, the scars of war.

I don't have an issue with it until, I'm actively fighting other players and the random is still pinging AI and isn't turning around to help fight. 🥲🤣 Other than that, I don't mind. Sometimes they are trying to stay silent or sneak about.

I can’t stand playing with rando who don’t ping AI. It’s literally a visual callout of enemy advancement. Sniper on a roof… maybe my team didn’t see him. Hidden behind something ping it. Never know when it helps someone other than yourself. Ultimately your squad is better overall with player 3 not getting randomly beamed because they couldn’t locate the callout of enemy on top of building.

I mark bots if they're on our path because DMZ bots are aimbot bots.
This. I mark things I think are a threat. Operators every time, Ai if they look agro’d already so we know a player is likely close, or Ai that is likely to give our location away when it starts shooting at us.
There’s more to it than just stupid bots. The entire field tells gives you information about what’s going on around you. The more you know the better prepared you are.
Not me, pings are for Operators. Bots deserve my respect but not my pings.
