My son (6) is getting into Pokemon and wants to play the card game. Is there anywhere that has some basic decks already put together or would be able to provide a touch of guidance for a cheap way to set this up.
I'm not interested in the collectibility of any of it, the cards will get bent etc, he just wants to play.
Located in South OP but willing to go anywhere in the city.

I'm looking at Collectors Cache right now. Seems they have a Pokemon open play type thing today.
If anyone has any experience with them or better options let me know.
At Collector’s Cache on College Blvd you’d be able to buy them some structure decks. All their inventory can be found on their website as well.
Thanks, looks to be the consensus so far and it's close by so bonus points there as well.
20 years ago when I was a kid they had premade decks that you could buy at Walmart or wherever. Gives him a decent deck to start with and you shouldn't have to drop a ton of cash.
Level one
Mission: Board Games plays pokemon on Sundays at 1 PM with a lot of kid players. https://www.missionboardgames.com/
Gators in Leavenworth has a kid open play on Fridays 3:30-5:30 PM, which is amazing since they have an adult player be the gym leader for the day, so kids can earn a "gym badge."
Eh…the guy that owns gators is weird, but not in a fun way
Collector's Cache is probably the best place. Action Sports in Gladstone isn't a bad one, and I think Game Cafe in Independence sells pokemon cards as well.
They make the board game with two decks and great instructions. Target $20
My kids (9 & 12) have always enjoyed collectors cache. Staff has always been super friendly and helpful.

Thanks, we'll give them a shot today.
I’m old as flip and I used to have my mom drive me here for Pokémon tournaments
