With Pathaan approaching, are there any theaters in the NYC area that have a lively opening night atmosphere?

❓ASK

Usually the atmosphere in a theater isn't important to me while watching a movie, but Pathaan is a movie that is basically made to be watched with an active lively crowd. The Pathaan advance opened very early out here and SRK movies always fill out, but usually the crowd's energy is hit or miss.

I've been to opening nights out here that got decently wild but that was a long time ago. Looking for a FDFS type atmosphere that's common in India where people will erupt at SRK's entry and the energy is flowing. Feel free to dm any suggestions.

Most of the time, I find that Bollywood, Tollywood etc films are only screened at AMC Empire, so the one in Times Square. Go on a weekend when it's packed, and it'll definitely be lively.

the amc in times square is your best bet. however, most people in north america don’t make any noise when watching a movie even if it’s a movie that demands it

Yea I was leaning towards that AMC. Been there before and even though it fills out its pretty silent. It’s all good I’ll be screaming on the inside.

Didn’t realize they played Hindi movies here. That’s actually a big theater and it looks like Pathaan is already mostly full for Wednesday.

It covers area where there are a lot of South Asian people and it often has hindi movies playing

AMC Empire in NYC. I watch most of my movies in AMC Wayne which gets a bit lively but not as much as the city. However Pathaan is releasing in Wayne but Clifton which isnt as good a theater. AMC Newport in Jersey City in a good bet if you want to watch a packed house, however the halls are smaller than other AMCs.
