[396] Bad Kill

Hi Destructive Readers,

I have some words in the bank due to expire soon so I figured I'd share some work. This short story is something I dug up in response to a writing contest that crossed my path recently, with the guidelines that submissions should be 400 words or less and have some kind of narrative structure.

Interested to hear about the voice (trigger warning: dropped-g present participle verbs), what theme you might feel is being suggested here, any speedbumps in the language or unfolding of the action, just whatever.

The title is something I whacked on it just now so it had one, but feel free to comment on that too.
